What is Social Capital ?

Social Capital – the network of people and institution that human use to their economic benefit.

Year 2017 – The Year of Change !!

Change – is my mantra for the year 2017.

“Details matter, it’s worth waiting to get it right” – Steve Jobs

To kick start my New Year and to challenge my cognitive plasticity, I made an OS switch; yes I moved to Mac for the first time.

For a long time, I thought it was the best choice of platform simply because purchasing a Mac seemed to be extortionately expensive compared with buying a PC desktop or laptop. Maybe I was wrong.

I made the move after using iPad for over 3 years, iPhone for a year, impressed by the Robust Hardware and Integrated Ecosystem. However, I am all Google person when it comes to ecosystem but Apple Devices compliment the capabilities and boost productivity.

But I guess going forward, my two decades of muscle memory will struggle to forget what I have learned especially the shortcuts and accommodate weird keys ⌘ on Mac.

Happy New Year 2017!!

No Regrets !! #YearInReview

As another year comes to an end, it’s only normal to look back and wonder what you could have done better? It’s easy to become a bit pessimistic and focus on the things you regret.

As I was discussing with a friend today about resolutions and remorse, and we decided there isn’t anything we can actually pinpoint as a regret. Sure, we’ve had some failures. We’ve made some mistakes. At the end of the day (or year) you don’t regret the party, but you hate the hangover.

You shouldn’t fear failure and if you have the best intentions, you should have no regrets.

We live and act in ways to prevent mistakes — not taking risks, not expanding outside of our comfort zones, not jumping outside those boxes we love hiding inside. But mistakes are a crucial step in learning and growing.

So embrace the failure – screw ups and shortcomings. There’s no need for regrets if you give it your all.

This marks the end of Year 2016 – No Regrets!!
